Early Models

Electronic Control Unit:

1. Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the Engine Control Unit (ECU) ground cable and mounting hardware.
3. Remove the ECU from the vehicle.
4. Disconnect the ECU harness from the ECU.
5. Connect the harness to the ECU.
6. Position the ECU in the vehicle.
7. Install the mounting hardware and ground cable.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable and close the hood.
